THE DRAGON FORCE
A Discourse pronounced by John Pope-de-Locksley on 17 May 2002:
According to Sumerian and Babylonian myth, the universe, before this world existed, was a giant, cosmic sea in which a dragon or monster, called Tiamat, lived.
She it was who had created the gods, but they turned against her, and their leader cut her body into two halves, creating our Earth from one half, and "the Heavens" from the other.
This story has also come down to us in several different forms in other cultures.
One problem is that we have tended to look to the gods for power and for knowledge, instead of having recourse to the strength and virtue of the old dragon herself. We are afraid of the chaos that might ensue, afraid of some possible destruction of our world and even of the universe itself that might result from any unleashing of the energies of this creature from the very beginning of time.
Yet, as initiates of the Golden Dawn have attested, a good wizard knows, dares, does…
The Goddess Tiamat embodies within herself the goddess principle of every other goddess. While the rest of the world worshipped, as their creator, Marduk, or Jehovah, or Jove, etc., the Tribe of Benjamin remained faithful in their worship of this Great Mother, and that, not as some tamed "Nature", but as original, raw force - Belial.
After their banishment from Isræl, they spread their own love for and worship of the Goddess right across the world, but most men have never really known her, as she does not reveal her true self even to her worshippers.
Merlin appreciated this. He came to understand her, both as the White Dragon and as the Red Dragon, and in some measure he harnessed this power.
It has been stated that I am Merlin, but more of that later.
The Ancients taught that what is above, is below. This simply means that both mutually opposed but reciprocally complementary aspects of the Goddess, the White and the Red, may be appreciated as one.
In that sense, yes, Tiamat has shown herself to me. I do know how to bring together both halves - the White and the Red, the above and the below, and this enables me to draw on her primeval force for my own ends.
This is something the adept may achieve with or without ritual, with or without recourse to any use of rite or ceremony.
Simply put, I blend in or merge with her, so that she becomes "I", as I become "she". Only then may I "feel" and "see" her, as she "really" is. In a sense, I am enclosing "a picture" of her.
In days gone by, men appear to have been unable to bring together into unity their own contrasting male and female sides or aspects, but nowadays this can be achieved.
If you allow both of these forces to flow together into oneness within yourself, the Goddess will merge in you, and you will know your Mother's love.
Originally, when we left "the garden", we trampled on the Old Dragon, and wiped our feet on her! We ignored the part she has in our life.
The Goddess, as raw Energy, needs to be focussed, to be moulded; otherwise, she becomes very dangerous, like escaping electricity.
When I perceive her merging in me, she is nothing like the classical picture of "the dragon" that features in the legend of St. George. No! I see a huge, hairy animal with a large head, and with two horns that seem to be coming out of the back of my own head, something like those giant cows one sees in central Europe, called Urs by certain Nordic peoples.
The so called Golden Calf was some sort of sub-merged or only half-manifest beast of the Hathor type, familiar in Ancient Egypt, and the Nordic races also reverenced and had faith in a mother goddess who was a Cow, and who suckled men with her milk.
But the Aurak I'm referring to is different, a fearsome, gigantic creature, she who has come down to us as "the Old Dragon".
Remember that, in India, the cow is sacred; it is the flesh of the Goddess - it must not be eaten!
Once, several years ago now, when I was in some sort of out-of-the-body state of trance, I learned from the Goddess herself the mystery of the two parts, the two halves I mentioned before, the twinning of the hexagram and the pentagram, the interweaving of the two triangles.
You can read about this, in connection with "the Ancient of Days" in The Book of Splendours. That's a Jewish work, basic in the Kabalah.
The two triangles signify the two halves of the Dragon. Bringing them together is the challenge. Man is the pentagram; he must join both triangles within himself.
Early in 1972, when I was eighteen years old and working as a gardener, it happened that, when I was digging a hole in the ground, I found myself being spiritually transported to a cave, where a boy lay on a stone slab. A figure, standing somewhere near the entrance to this cave, spoke. The words seemed to me to belong to some oriental language.
Throughout that experience, as a psychic I later consulted has confirmed, my physical body was linked by a silver cord to the body of the boy on the stone slab. I have, therefore, assumed that the oriental figure was that of a doctor or healer, someone a medium had earlier told me I would be establishing contact with.
A Rosicrucian of High Degree has, moreover, stated categorically that that oriental couldn't possibly have been any aspect of me individually. I may, however, during some remote past, have been a wizard, living for some time, as a prisoner, in a cave, such as that in which I found myself again in 1972. That wizard, although physically a prisoner, escaped spiritually, by sending forth his spirit to be born again, as a child, centuries later, in July 1953.
The silver cord or psychic umbilical cord I've mentioned was severed later, early in the 1980's, during a later visit of mine to that same cave.
As you may remember, Merlin is said to have been confined to a cave, imprisoned by his supposed girl-friend and companion magician or sorceress.
There have been other, more recent occasions, when I've found myself drawn back in spirit to that same cave. There's no longer anybody in it, and the rock-face has sealed it off from the world outside. Perhaps there is still a cave like that, somewhere in Scotland or, perhaps, Wales. I read about the collapse of some cave or other, somewhere in Wales, some time in the very late 1970's - not all that long before my psychic realisation that I no longer was linked by a cord to anybody in such a place.
My teacher of Yoga tells me I've now attained to Roshi level. Since I'm still rather young for that, this suggests I may already have been a Master in some previous life.
Perhaps I am Merlin. We're told his father was the devil, his mother a nun, and his grandfather a Welsh king of Demitia; his real name was Ambrosia Myrddyn, pronounced Mertheen.

THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE
The legend of "the Vampire" has its birth in the Goddess of the Night. Her devotees gave to her some of their own blood, small incisions in their throats being the wounds that made that offering possible.
Priests would acquire their own sacred status as a result of killing their own predecessors in office. This particular usage was observed in the cults of Diana, Aradia, Lilith, Artio, and Hela. Other names for one and the same goddess are Ishtar, Aset and Isis.
A link with later Freemasonry appears possible. Hiram Abiff was murdered by three of his fellow Masons, who had wished to learn the secret of his Office.
The legend of Hiram Abiff features in the initiation ritual attached to the third Degree, promotion to which is required to qualify as Master of a Lodge.
The origins of Lilith may be traced back to a Sumerian goddess, Lilut, who had been seen as a nocturnal, blood-sucking "ghost". Her cult spread, by way of Greece, to the rest of Europe, where she merged with Hecate.
Robert Graves believed that the Benjamites worshipped this goddess, and that it was they who introduced her cult to Europe, having brought it with them from Egypt.
If so, it must earlier have been transmitted to Egypt from Sumer, arriving earlier still in Sumer when certain mountain tribes from further North settled there.
Graves also claims that it was round about the time of the beginning of the Christian era that the Benjamites, previously expelled from Isræl by the Jews, migrated to Europe. They are said to have travelled up the Danube and along the Rhine, marrying into several Northern tribes, and allying themselves with the Arcadian kings.
As they moved about, they shared their worship of the goddess with those they met. Having been Aset in Assyria, in Greece, she was Artemis; in Rome, Diana; in Germany, Hela; in Switzerland, Artio, Luna or Selene; in Hungary, Boldogasszony.
This goddess of the night is also renowned for her night-creatures - the bat, wolf, owl, frog and bear, all of which are also by now linked with "Stega" or witchcraft, and "Stigori" or "the Vampire".
Like the legendary werewolf, her devotees are said to change into animals at the time of the Full Moon. That is when the Queen of the Night goes hunting, equipped with a bow and arrows, and accompanied by her pack of dogs.
When the Assyrians invaded Egypt, where Lilut or Lilith became Aset or Isis, Assur also became Osiris. It was then, in about 1782 B.C., that the Egytian Queen Sobek-neferu established her Royal Court of the Dragon, in which the Titans appear somehow to have been collectively identified with Tiamat, the original Dragon in the earlier Sumerian myth.
In The Gospel of Aradia Diana is very similarly presented as somebody dividing herself in two in order to create both Earth and Moon. The Moon above is the Earth below; it is the power of the Moon which draws out the Earth's magnetic field, the attractive force that brings together both Earth Mother and Moon Mother, joined and yet apart.
Diana has made herself known to me, spoken to me, appointed me her priest on Earth.
Her devotees, this is her command, must not use crystals. That is because crystals trap and make prisoners of moon-beams, but these are Diana's means of helping you; she uses them to help you with her power.
Today it is also Diana's wish that rituals in her honour be celebrated in the Italian tongue, that being the language in which she herself has written them down.
When in attendance upon her, be not skyclad, but wear black clothing. Long black capes and other sinister nocturnal apparel is appropriate.

A further point: Since one clan among the Benjamites was called Ahieram, it is possible that the Masonic legend regarding Hiram, which, like other Masonic rites, is of Jewish origin, may have some Benjamite link. The Old Testament Book of Psalms includes the story of Jehovah fighting some monster of the waters, which is not unlike the Canaanite tale of Baal fighting Lotan, a story which sounds very similar to that about Grendel. Some connection with the "vampire" stories about Lilith is also possible.
D. Farson (in the Hamlyn Book of Horrors) attests that the Hungarian-born horror-actor, Bela Lugosi, derives his surname from the combination of the name of his place of birth, Lugos, with that of the Bela tribe from which he springs.
Baigent, Leigh & Lincoln, as joint-authors of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, accept that there was among the Benjamites a clan called Bela.
Be that as it may, the 1931 volume of Who's Who in the Theatre discloses that Bela Lugosi's real name as Bela Ferenc Blasko, his father being Stephen Blasko, and his mother Paul Von Sojanica.
Bela is a very ancient name in what is now Hungary. The nation came into being in the 700's, when several tribes coming out of Russia and some from elsewhere united under King Alma.
A custom they had was that of cutting their own arms, collecting the fresh blood in a goblet, and then drinking it as a toast to their King in recognition of his prowess in making, out of many tribes, one nation.
Naturally, it is "the Vampire" who drinks first. Os ver von os ment.

On 5 March 1996 our Webmaster received from the Laird of Camster a possibly highly significant document of which the following transcription is only now, six years and six months later, being made available to a wider public for the first time:

THE FAMILY TREE UPDATE
Dear friends and family,
As you know, I have spent many years tracing the family trees and searching for the link to Robin Hood. Grandfather Thomas Russell said, about 1960, I was descended from Robin Hood, Earl of Huntingdon. He said I was not to tell anyone, as it's "a secret", "dangerous", etc.…
My first thought was that he was descended from Robert Fitzodo of Loxley, whose descendants were the Trussell Russell family, a theory advanced in the 1860's by J.R. Planch of the College of Arms.
Next, I assumed he might have come from the Russells who wer' descendants of the Clintons, Earls of Huntingdon in the 14th century, and, later, I found a Thomas Russell who had descended from the Sneyd Kinnersleys of Loxley. This man had been born at Nottingham in 1897, the son of one William Russell.
My grandfather was born in 1897, but his father was James Russell. No birth certificate for my grandfather has been found. There is no evidence that he was illegitimate. No census-returns and no church records mentioning his birth have come to light.
My great-uncle, Joseph Tatt, maintained that Tom had been a wounded solider at the military hospital in Canewood Towers, Hampstead. Although Canewood never was a military hospital, during the 1914-1918 war, the period during which Tom is said to have been there, it did house a number of Belgian refugees. Since Russell happens to be both a French and Belgian family-name, the fact that Tom is remembered as having spoken only poor English when he married my grandmother would appear to be significant.
So, where did the tale come from that claims that I'm descended from Robin Hood, and why was it so secret? Did it, perhaps, have a link to Tom's claim that I have blue blood in my veins?
Uncle Joe has told me that my mum's husband, Frederick Pope, wasn't my real dad, but that mum had had an affair with an aristocrat belonging to a Northern family, someone who wasn't well at the time, so that he died shortly before my mum's first meeting with Fred - and before I was born.
I was born 11 July 1953, mum having married Fred in June that same year. I believe I had been conceived some time in November 1952. Doctor Tuck of the Royal Free Hospital told me in 1990 that I should never father any children, the reason being that I have inherited some deformed chromosomes, so that any children fathered by me would be born deformed.
Frederick Pope, on the other hand, my legal father, married several times, and was the father of many healthy children. His family-tree is well known, and has been published. There is no record of any history of deformity within his family.
I was so shocked by Doctor Tuck's report that I shut it out of my mind, but now I can think straight. I know who my real father was. He clearly must have been an aristocrat belonging to a Northern family known for its monster-births, someone linearly descended from the Earls of Huntingdon, and a man who died shortly before I was born in July 1953.
Therefore, my father must have been the Honourable Michæl Bowes Lyon, third son of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorn, Baron Glamis Gluad Bowes Lyon.
My father's ancestor, John Lyon, married the daughter of Robert the Bruce, a descendant of Isabela, the daughter of David, Earl of Huntingdon. My father's sister, Elizabeth Bowes Lyon was [Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth] the Queen Mother.
The Bowes Lyons are famous for their "monster", which is reputed once to have lived somewhere inside Glamis Castle, a half-human, covered in hair, born in 1821 and, it is said, living to be 150 years old!
That is part of "the secret" my grandfather must have been referring to, when he said that I was "illegitimate", but that my blood also flows through the Prince of Wales, which makes me part-royal.
I may not publish any of this information just now [i.e., in March 1996], but publication may be appropriate after my Auntie, the Queen Mother's death?
Any suggestions regarding this would be warmly received [to be posted by recorded delivery and addressed to Doctor John Russell Pope-de-Locksley, Laird of Camster, Flat 10, 44a Baker's Hill, Hackney, London E5 9HL, together with a stamped-and-self-addressed envelope for his acknowledgment of its safe receipt]. In case it helps to resolve any related uncertainty or doubt, my own blood-group is A.B. positive.
Glamis Castle is in Scotland, in other words, in the North. Michæl Bowes Lyon was born in 1892 and died, aged 60, on 1 May 1953. Frederick Pope was aged 48 in June 1953. According to the terms of Michæl's will, all his estate passed in equal shares to all his children, once they became 21. The legal term "all his children" embraces children who are illegitimate - which means that he knew he had fathered an illegitimate son?

Jack the Ripper London Tours

The German Das Magazine has already identified John Russell Pope-de-Locksley, who was named several times in the 1996 A - Z of Jack the Ripper and also mentioned in the 1999 Mammoth Book of Jack the Ripper, as a London expert on the subject of both Jack the Ripper and Dracula. [A. P. Wolf's Jack The Myth - A New Look at the Ripper (London: Robert Hale, 1993) is probably the best recent study of this topic, and Carol Page's Blood Lust - Conversations with Real Vampires (Warner Books, 1993) is a truthful and highly readable discussion of Dracula's and other vampires' continuing and widespread appeal today.]

This Doctor of Metaphysics has, despite his being dyslexic (cf. Ronald D. Davis with Eldon M. Braun, The Gift of Dyslexia - Why some of the brightest people can't read and how they can learn, 2nd edition, revised and enlarged, London: Souvenir Press, 1997), already bravely authored three booklets about "The Ripper" and as, he now suspects, the natural son of horror star Bela Lugosi and a great-grandson of Ripper suspect, Severino Klosowsky, he believes himself also to be both the historic Robin Hood's most likely most direct living descendant and one of Dracula's blood relations; he very willingly guides visitors around Dracula's London:

Dracula's house, Highgate Cemetery where Lucy was laid to rest, the adjoining woods where "witches" frolicked and "satanists" performed their dramatic rites in the by now well nigh forgotten early 1970's, serial-killer Dennis Nielsen's fearsome haunts or,
on another tour, those of Andraus Nickifaru, London's notorious East-End gangland boss (1968-1988).
Such is the menu John has cooked up to delight the palate of any with an appetite for the "other" London and, of course, a blood-chilling sense of the macabre.

Letter to our Webmaster from Dr J. Pope-de-Locksley
6 September 2002:
Dear Colin,
Hope you are well. I've a new type-writer, a "Brothers". However, I'm having problems, finding the right ribbon for it.
I understand you are putting the family-tree of Stukeley's "Fitzooth" on the Internet. Since that time when I passed on to you the original stuff about that, I've done more research.
I have documented evidence to support Stukeley's 1724 pedigree, but Robert Fitzodo, Warwickshire, now gives way to Robert Fitzwooth, Bubenhall, Warwickshire.
Stukeley gave a coat-of-arms, that appearing in the Roll of Arms 1284 for Robert Fitzwote - and he, in some Rolls, is quoted as Fitzwith, also as Fitzhyte.
It does without saying that the "hyte" in Fitzhyte is Hode, i.e., Hood (just as, in Old English, Wyrm is worm).
Lots of bits included in Stukeley's pedigree are found in Elizabethan domestic papers, in the Baronagium MS of 1623, Camden's Britannica, or Dugdale's 1677 Baronage. Also relevant: Ballad of the Birth, breeding and valour…; Guy of Warwick; George Gambol of Nottinghamshire; There are those who argue that these should not be regarded as "original" sources. However, a pipe-roll of 1211 has Richard de Vere (earl of Oxford) having custody of the heir of William Fitzooth, which suggests that Robin Hood was then a baby. He would have been 18-19 in 1229, when "a fugitive" Robin Hood is known.… tenures of land and manors need checking, which forests in Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire wooded…
This all came to a head a few years ago, when Barbara Green and I were in Hartshead church-yard. The spirit of the yew-tree there, told me that Robin Hood had been born at Hedron, Hebron or Hegdon.
Harry Bottomley was born in Bradord in 1894, retiring later to Shipley and Cottingley.
Yesterday spirits said Hedingham, Essex, where the de Veres' family-castle is, was the actual place of birth.
William Fitzooth married the daughter of Rosia de Vere and Payn Beauchamp Baron of Bedford. The Beauchamp earls of Warwick claimed descent from Guy of Warwick, as did Robin Hood, the Fitzwote, Fitzooth recorded in the Rolls in 1360.
Back to Bubenhall. Russell isn't our family link. That's probably Auntie Dolly's daughter's family. Betty Bottomley's family-history, naturally, takes in that of her husband, John Allison.
The name Bubbenhall is associated only with the 1360 entry. That for 1284 is connected with one Allan Farerrier or Frarria, who is Allan Ferrers of Loxley in Staffordshire, whom I found recorded in the Callender of Patent Rolls (1260?).
The name Fitzodonius is connected with Ferrers Loxley in Redfern's book.
Arms were not recorded until 1280, having first come into use during the 1240's.

WHO AM I UPDATE BY DR JR POPEdeLOCKSLEY.

To recap, while ding a hole in a filed 1971, working, gardens and parks for the councel. I had a curious out of the body. Experience. I as transported to a cave. Here my astral body joined with a young oriental type. Through the cave entrance I saw snow or sand and a figer in a blue garment, reciting an unknown tongue.

In ancient history several tales of a hero or evil god, inprisoned in a cave. Merlin, Loki, Azazal, Typhon. I have now found another entry that seems to make clearer these stories. Its Egyption and is little known. All references made at the end.

I wish here to give a hypothical story based on Egyption mith

In ancient times Re Amon Patah (Re from Regious king) ruled Eypt, he was king of the Gods. He had twos sons by Geb, one was Hoor the herison (Hamarchis) the other Set or Sebek. Set worked with Isis the goddes to over through Re, Isis made a snake and it bit Re Amon, the only way to life the spell was for him to tell her his real name. This gave Set and Isis the power to rule. Hoor the elder lead an rebelion, which set put down. And burried Hoor deep inside a pyramid. Hoorus the younger son of Usire (Osirus in the Greek) son of Geb lead another force ahainst Set.

The Hyksos or Jews worshiped Set and the book of Enoch atests Sons of god lead a rebelion and the second in command Azazal a wisard who taught cuting root etc was inprisoned in a hole in the desart and stones place upon him. Josephus in his first Ad. ence Antiqutis of the Jews. Tells us theis was the Pyramid at Giza. quoteing pssages of Enoch visit. In the 1930s Dr Selin Hassan, discovered beneath the three pyramids and sphinx. A vast city. tunnuls, passages, pits. Mummies etc.

The Book of the law dedicated to Crowley atests. When Harmachis ie Baal Hoor Market, or Keru-Kuti the Hoor on the harisen. arises and asumes the throne. A new profeth will come. And he will unlock secrets of power. If im Harmarchis, who is the new false prophet? The Roman Plynny atested. Harmarchis tomb was under the Sphinx at Giza.
